Beginning/Intermediate Ballet for Teens and Adults Description

Students and adults ages 11 and up who have have no prior ballet experience, limited experience, or are returning to ballet are eligible for this class. This class is a perfect way for adults and older children to be introduced to the classical ballet syllabus through weekly classes that build on the fundamentals from one week to the next in a focused, non-competitive, and educational setting. Students will learn the basic position, musicality and cadence of a traditional ballet.

Class Attire

Adult classes feature casual attire and a non-competitive environment. Students attending adult classes should wear attire appropriate to the class, either a leotard or leggings, but there are no fixed requirements for color. We recommend the Bloch 258 or 203 ballet slipper for adult ballet students, or one of the many styles of canvas technique shoes.
